Description

After school club based at the Fitzwilliam Museum that encourages young people to be inspired by the
richly diverse arts and science collections of the eightUniversity of Cambridge Museums. From explorers’
equipment to Mexican masks to ancient Egyptian coffins. The club will use different art forms to explore
the varied themes and historical content. The artforms will be chosen in consultation with the young
people. Professional artists will be hired to deliver the art forms identified ensuring the young people learn
new arts skills.

The pioneers will also take part in different levels ofArts Award, a nationally recognised qualification that
encourages young people to make connections with artists and cultural organisations while developing arts and leadership skills.

Young people who have a disability but
do not need to access specialist services

Referral

Families in receipt of early help funding or self directed support can discuss the club with their short breaks worker or social worker. To find out more about local social care short breaks offer, please contact the Early Help team on 01480 379 800.
